Dappled Light

Oil on board

There’s something about dappled light that makes you slow down.

This painting captures one of those quiet moments when sunlight breaks through the trees and falls across the landscape, transforming an ordinary walk into something a little bit magical.

I wanted to capture that feeling of being outside with nowhere else you need to be. Just noticing the light, the trees and the path ahead.

Part of my Held by the Hills collection, inspired by the landscapes around my home in North Wales.
