Tyrrau Mawr
Oil on board
Tyrrau Mawr is about the feeling of standing beneath something much bigger than yourself.
The mountains dominate the landscape, while a tiny house sits quietly within it. There’s something comforting about that contrast. You can feel small without feeling insignificant.
I painted this piece as a celebration of the wildness and scale of the landscape around me, and the sense of belonging I feel living amongst it.
Part of my Held by the Hills collection, inspired by the mountains and landscapes of North Wales.
