Hope & Home

Oil on canvas

This painting is especially personal to me.

The little house in the landscape represents our own home, and the journey it took to become one.

When we first found it, it had no roof, no floors, no windows, no electricity and no water.

It was little more than a shell. But we could see something in it. We could imagine what it might become.

For me, Hope & Home is about believing in something before you can see the finished version. About putting down roots, making a place your own and slowly turning a forgotten space into home.

It's a painting about hope, belonging and the courage to begin.

Part of my Held by the Hills collection, inspired by our home and the wild landscape that surrounds it.
