Jane Lloyd is a passionate artist.
She gained a degree in BA(Education) with Art, has completed a programming course followed by programming and teaching jobs in the South of England before returning to live in Wales. Since returning to Wales she has learned to speak the Welsh language and can now converse confidently in Welsh.
Although now, Jane is a full time artist, for 14 years she taught Art to children between the ages of 7 and 16 years. She honed her skills for drawing in a more realistic way and found she was able to break these down into manageable lessons to bring success and confidence for the children. She has a wealth of knowledge in many art techniques, skills and processes from working with clay, printing through to wet felting.
Her artwork has been in numerous local galleries including The London Welsh Centre's Exhibition of Contemporary Welsh Artists 2023, MOMA Machynlleth Art Gallery, Celf Aran Arts, Artworks, Theatre Harlech and Dipsy Dragon. Her work has also been featured in The Pencil Box - Ann Kullberg and won the digital monthly theme in the UKCPS (Colour Pencil Society) on Facebook.
Jane's mission is to bring her beautiful pieces of artwork into people's homes to give them joy, tranquillity and peace.
Jane lives up in the mountains in Wales with her husband and animals in an old farmhouse that they lovingly renovated. If not painting or visiting her grown-up children, she can be found sitting on her favourite rock enjoying a chilled glass of Pinot while watching the sun set over Cardigan Bay.
