Jane Lloyd is a passionate artist and art teacher. She gained a degree in BA(Education) with Art, has completed a programming course followed by programming and teaching jobs in the South of England before returning to live in Wales and running a bespoke wedding stationery business. This included a portfolio of options from" save the date cards" to framed table plans. Since returning to Wales she has learned to speak the Welsh language and can now converse confidently in Welsh in her job as an Art teacher.
In the 12 years she has been teaching children between the ages of 7 and 16 years she has honed her skills for drawing in a more realistic way and is able to break these down into manageable lessons to bring success and confidence within the children. She also has a wealth of knowledge in many art techniques, skills and processes from working with clay, printing through to wet felting.
Her artwork has been in numerous local galleries including The London Welsh Centre's Exhibition of Contmeporary Welsh Artists 2023, MOMA Machynlleth Art Gallery, Celf Aran Art, Artworks, Theatre Harlech and Dipsy Dragon. Her work has also been featured in The Pencil Box - Ann Kullberg and won the digital monthly theme in the UKCPS (Colour Pencil Society) on Facebook.
Jane's mission is to bring her beautiful pieces of artwork into people's homes to give them joy, tranquility and peace.
Jane lives up in the mountains in mid Wales with her husband, 2 children and animals in an old farmhouse that they lovingly renovated. She can be found sitting on her favourite rock enjoying a chilled glass of wine while watching the sun set over Cardigan Bay.
