Session 1 - Introduction of materials & experimentation

All art sessions take place at The Magic Lantern cinema, Tywyn between 2 and 5pm each week starting on Friday 7th March 2025
All equipment, paint and canvas is included. Just wear old clothes, maybe an apron and bring an open mind and enthusiasm.

An online drawing course for beginners (bilingual Welsh and English)

Pa gwestiynau sydd gennych chi?
This is an online course where you will be able to draw a hare alongside me.
In this workshop you'll be shown how to;
Draw a basic shape(s) to set out your image (this just means getting the shape right)
Use your pencil correctly
Learn how to shade to make the hare look more realistic
Use your pencil to add detail to make your hare come alive.
You will access the course through a Facebook group and work at your own pace. Any questions you have I'm there to help.

Paint Your (Husband),Insert your choice of person
Saturday 15th February 12-5pm
Arthog Village Hall
This is a 5 hour session where you will paint a portrait of a person of your choice.
You will be guided by Jane who is an experienced artist and teacher and you will leave feeling empowered and proud of the painting you have achieved.
The objective of this session is to have fun, build some confidence and to paint a beautiful painting that you will be proud of and be able to hang on your wall with pride.
You will receive all the equipment you will need (although you may wish to bring an apron or wear old clothes).
You will have access to;
- acrylic paints
- Different sizes of brushes
- mixing plate
- water pot
- 12" x 16" pre-stretched canvas
- Biscuits
- Tea or coffee
*You will be required to provide a digital copy of a good quality portrait of the person you wish to paint - Jane will transfer this image onto your canvas ready for the workshop.
Paint Your Pet
Saturday 15th March 12-5pm
Y Ganolfan Arthog Village Hall
This is a 5 hour session where you will paint your pet.
This could be any animal, dog, cat, budgie, hamster, sheep or giraffe!
You will be guided by Jane who is an experienced artist and teacher and you will leave feeling empowered and proud of the painting you have achieved.
The objective of this session is to have fun, build some confidence and to paint a beautiful painting that you will be proud of and be able to hang on your wall with pride.
You will receive all the equipment you will need (although you may wish to bring an apron or wear old clothes).
You will have access to;
- acrylic paints
